We're slack, aren't we? Of course we'll actually blog more when we're on the trip - it's just that talking about packing boxes is not that thrilling. Not that we're even at the packing boxes stage ... more the arguing about what date to give notice on the house stage.
I think the kids are finding the idea harder by the minute. Holden has been the Anti-Christ recently, and I'm sure it has to do with being worried about the future. So I've been trying to infect him with enthusiasm by talking about all the great things we'll do and see in the US. And he's definitely cheered by the fact that we're spending four nights in a posh hotel in New Orleans.
My trip planning so far has consisted of writing down a list of places to EAT in New Orleans. Now I just have to find out if they still exist.
In the meantime, Hol is off to Fiji for the holidays (truly), and we have a sixth birthday party to plan for Phoebe. Apparently we're making a movie. My party-planning skills seem to have deserted me on this one.
Quote of the week: Satan is a planet. (Phoebe, watching a particularly thrilling episode of Dr Who)
