Like so much of this blog this title is a little old because Holden and I are sitting in the lobby of the Intercontinental Hotel, New Orleans enjoying free wireless internet. Even so, it did apply three days ago as we said goodbye to the people of Pumarmarca, recieving an emotional sendoff by people those we have come to love over the last two months.
After a somewhat torrid journey lasting 32 hours we had lunch today of gumbo and oyster po boy in a bar on the famous Bourbon Street. We can't quite believe we are here and I think our culture shock is more than if we did not speak English. Our taxi driver from the airport spoke with such a strong Haitian accent that it was easier for Tiff to speak French than attempt communication any other way. Right now we are exhausted, it is 50F and raining, but we are so excited nothing could dampen our spirits.

I can't believe your already onto the next big adventure. How fast the time has gone! Not surprised to hear about your culture shock. It will no doubt be even stranger to come back home again. Where nothing will have changed much since you left. I have just enjoyed an extended Australia day long weekend being quite domestic. I baked yesterday following a Nigella recipe, a very rich chocolate cake for Pips birthday. Back to 9-5 tomorrow but nothing to complain about really. Pepe n Caticus are happy I think, though still wondering what happened to you guys. Pleased to read that you are enjoying the local fare and look forward to reading your next update. love Nique
Well you made it to the big country congratulations!!!! Andrew watching the tennis was bloody upsetting this week, not with the fact that Federer won again, but just how crap you and I really.
Its that time of year again Holden Its Football season little man and the sign up is this saturday do mum or dad have any passport photos of you anywhere over here at nans maybe???i willpay and enter you and we can sort the photos later but i am not losing out on my Midfield general!!!
